Events and Training
Glocal.net’s primary method for working with partners is facilitation of Global Collaboration Communities (GCCs). GCCs are an 18-24 month commitment that guides and equips participants to achieve jointly defined objectives.
Some organizations may not be ready to commit to a full GCC, or they are early in the exploration and development stages for such project. To support these efforts, Glocal.net offers a number of group events and training sessions:
Using our extensive multifaith network, Glocal.net brings together leaders of other faiths in your community to meet with your church leadership. These meetings range from introductory gatherings to daylong-facilitated meetings to connect and develop initial relationships. Typically, this event is for senior faith leaders and key domain leaders, or groups focusing on specific opportunities or needs. Bold as Love Training
This full day training unpacks the concepts presented in the Bold as Love book. It includes key principles and application to help you and your congregation develop relationships with other faith groups in your community including plan development and cultural changes necessary for your organization.
This two-day training leverages the experience and best practices of NorthWood Church in releasing church members to serve in the domains of society to impact target areas. It includes teaching on the key principles and models for release, and practical approaches for implementation.
Geo-political Leadership & Global Engagement Seminar
This select three-day course is offered twice a year and is for senior pastors and executive domain leaders. Conducted in Washington DC, it helps senior leaders understand how to operate globally in the public square. In addition to teaching by the Glocal.net team, participants meet with various state department representatives, foreign ambassadors, senior foreign leaders from other faiths, and professors from Georgetown and other universities. The seminar seeks to equip you in global geopolitical interaction and provide specific connections and opportunities for engagement.
Leading Culture Change
This insightful day and a half training is for church staffs that are working to change their culture to adopt multifaith and domain engagement. Where other Glocal.net offerings focus on the content of these topics, this training focuses on the process of changing the culture of a church to accept and embrace these philosophies. Not only are key principles and actions necessary for culture change addressed, but participants are equipped a plan to implement within their church.
