Connecting for Glocal Transformation

The T-Life & T-World Difference

Truly surrendering to Christ yields transformation in lives, in churches, in communities and in the world. Glocalnet’s discipleship, church multiplication, community development and global engagement approaches flow from our T-Life and T-World mindset.

T-Life

T-Life is the picture of a disciple’s life being transformed. A transformed life’s supreme focus is to glorify God. We believe this takes place by living out God’s Kingdom in the following three ways:

Interactive Relationship with God

It is vital for disciples to have inward encounters with God in which they worship Him, hear from Him, and respond to Him in obedience. Bible reading, prayer, private and corporate worship, and journaling are all part of a transformational walk with God.

Transparent Connections

As we interact with God, it is vital that we not approach glorifying God on our own, but that we intentionally interact with other Christ-followers. These “connections” will bring about transformation in us as we authentically encourage, instruct and support one another.

Glocal Impact

T-Life disciples are using their vocations not only to touch their communities, but also the world. Just last year, a team of educators and special needs specialists from NorthWood Church developed a new special education curriculum for the entire nation of Vietnam. NorthWood’s 10-member team went to Vietnam to help Hanoi University educational officials implement the curriculum. How could God use your people’s skills to impact the world?

T-World

T-World is a vision of every believer and every church engaging the world with the purpose of making a lasting difference. When the church is fulfilling its purpose, the three components of T-World will happen simultaneously.

Church Multiplication

The Kingdom of God is much greater than any one church. We are more committed to seeing the Kingdom extended than we are about individual church growth. Instead of being the biggest church in the area, our desire is to church the area! All healthy organisms reproduce. It is in their DNA to look beyond themselves to the next generation or the species dies. Healthy churches strive for multiplication on every level — disciples, churches and clusters. “Make disciples to the ends of the earth.” (Matthew 28:19-20)

Community Development

The transformational process calls us to engage our neighbors, as well as the poor in our communities. As author and pastor Robert Lewis asks in his book, The Church of Irresistible Influence, “If your church was absent from the community, would anyone miss it?” Our communities — the poor, the hungry, schools, businesses — must be different because our churches exist. “I was hungry, and you fed me. I was a stranger, and you invited me in…” (Matthew 25)

Global Engagement

What God told Abraham in Genesis could easily be said of us: “I have blessed you to be a blessing to all the nations on earth.” Tonight, many in the world will go to bed hungry, sick, uneducated and without hope for the future. Glocalnet churches are helping improve and even rebuild infrastructures in countries. By working with international government leaders, glocalnet church members are using their vocational skills to touch lives halfway around the globe… even in some of the most turbulent regions of the world. We believe God calls His church to minister courageously. Glocalnet clusters are currently working in countries such as Afghanistan, Iraq, Sudan, Indonesia, Vietnam, Egypt and United Arab Emirates.
