Thank you God!

I am so thankful - for a Savior that came from heaven to redeem me from my sins, fill me with his Spirit and make me a son.  His presence is always with me, good and bad.  In reality there are no bad times with him - because everything is from him and by him and works in my favor even if I can’t see it in the moment.  But if I respond in faith, the Father’s favor is always upon me working out his will and perfection in my life.

I’m so grateful - for a wife who loves God deeply and loves me deeply as well.  Her faithfulness, her detemination, her independence, her consistency, her excellence in doing anything she does is a gift beyond measure.  I’ve seen some men struggle in life because of their wife - not me - mine continues to accelerate us forward.

I’m so grateful for a son who is my closest “male” friend who is a crazy entrepreneur who no doubt will hit it “big” and also “lose it” at times but always move and look forward win it back and learn more lessons (and especially for letting me play with his new English bulldog pup - Churchill!). I love Ashely, an awesome daughter in law that’s brought much spice and joy to our family.  She makes us laugh and brings warmth in our home.  I’m so grateful for a daughter that loves God, life, the world, and is full of energy and curiosity.  She will change the world, and herself in the middle of it.  I’m so grateful for the Vietnamese Exchange student Ti, who lived with us many years.  I cannot believe you found a wife and are getting married this Christmas in Hanoi - young lady - do you really know this man?  He is incredible.  I’m grateful for parents that love me, a sister who intercedes for me, a sister and brother grew up with me.

I’m so thankful for NorthWood - it’s the base, it’s the home, it’s the place all these wild ideas and unique opportunities have flowed from.  Some churches do just Sunday - you do everything.  The staff, the members, the ministries - it’s been a wild ride and will continue to be so.

I’m grateful for God’s provisions - they are his to keep and take at his discretion so I will not get too comfortable with material things - but I am grateful for my “Jonathan Edwards” desk, my iPod playing soft music, my books, my laptop, art, and especially my study, and the rest of my house.

I’m grateful for my global pastor friends, Eddy, Samsueng, Alan, David, Dion, Jack, Bishara,  Jossy, Gibbons, Bloye, PIttman,

I’m grateful for all my other global friends - I stand ready to baptize you!  You have enriched my life, given me new perspectives, and shown me a world I never knew existed.
