QUIETLY ALIVE

I haven’t gone anywhere.  I’m still here.  I’m breaking for the holidays.  I may or may not write.  I went somewhere my cell phone wouldn’t work, where I could be quiet with my family for a week.  The first “real” vacation I’ve had in years and it was very, very, very good.  I’m studying all my year end notes stuff, goals, you name it.  My Bible is open and I’m journaling massively.  One day I read the book of ACTS, the next day the book of LUKE.  Today I’m doing word studies.  I’m looking at things with the big picture, 50,000 foot view, with some questions as to a 1 foot view of implementation.  Asking some questions on some previously held positions; How Biblical? How accurate?  Here’s just one and then I’m finished writing for today . . . . . .
When they made disciples in the early church, the thing that amazed me the most was the speed at which they did it.  Our premise is it takes months to years to get one strong reproducible disciple, that simply wasn’t true in Acts or in movements around the world.  Are we defining disciple all wrong?
More later . . . . . back into hibernation . .
