NorthWood - You did it AGAIN!

Sunday was an incredible worship time today.  I had a couple of friends from another part of the world where it isn’t so easy to be a pastor.  There were some significant needs requiring some finances and NorthWood you came up with $32,000 - you did it on the spot, hearing about it, and man did you act.  I’m so proud of you.  It was an awesome day today. and God was glorified.  Keep moving forward - we are a church, but also a teaching church, but more than that - a global church.  I’ll blog as I can the next 3 weeks but it will not be easy and probably will be in airports - keep me in mind.

Praise the Lord! Thanks for leading out today and letting the Christ use you to bring everybody into an opportunity of spontaneous obedience. It was fun.

Praise GOD...He is so GOOD!!! I am really looking forward to hearing more about how God multiplies that $32,000 for those pastors (just like the 5 talents). I hope we will get to share in the blessing of hearing about it, so the "rain" of God's blessing will get to be splashed on us too. Love it!

    On a separate note...

I have heard you mention many times (and again mentioned this morning) that the tithe for the Israelites in the old testament was 11-20%. I was trying to study up on that...can you point me to those verses? Many thanks.

The tithe in the OT was 23% and involved taxation for the government, 10% went to the Levites. 10% was the bare benchmark going to the temple - grace always goes beyond the law, just saying it should be beyond a minimal amount.

That is sooooooooooooooooo awesome! Wow, I'm amazed and very encouraged by hearing that! Unfortunately, I was unable to give because I didn't have my checkbook or cash with me. I know about the online giving, but with that being a sensitive situation, I didn't know if that was possible. If so, would you please let me know, if not for this, for future reference? Thank you, and praise God for this abundant blessing!
