Matt Carter on Mission
Matt is right on. This is what I was saying yesterday. I’m always asked how did our church get so missional and global . . . where are your sermon series on that, etc., The answer is by doing it - it isn’t found in a class - it’s found in the field. Matt ties this to his small group ministry and it’s really good. Proud of you Matt - keep rockin’ little Texas bro!

The more I read the Scripture about the kingdom of God, the more I become heartbraking about the churchs nowsdays. Most of our churches are seeking methods to grow big. But the kingdom of God is beyond methods. At your Transformation, Bob, you said: "The obsession of te church must become the obtainment of the kingdom of God. Without it, we are lost." Totally agree.
Matt is right when he says we must not focus our attention on obtaining community by it self. But we must focus our attention on the mission. And our mission is to let the Holy Spirity to work in our lifes to bring the kingdom of God to our community, city, country and the world.
Love you guys.

Loved this video too Bob. It seems as if many pastors are coming into the conversation now from a Kingdom perspective. It's like the GM bankruptcy. The Bankruptcy of the Church has to happen for the reinvention, or re-emergence of God's Kingdom purpose. God is emptying us out of ourSELVES. I'm just thankful to see so many admit that we as leaders are perpetrators the error of self-indulgence and formulaic Christianity. Please, please pray for us as we try so very hard not to drift toward the old attractive formulas that advance ourselves and not the Kingdom of God. 6 days away Bob, just 6 days and we're on the ground in Bend. I love you as a brother, and I thank God for your love for us. We will give it all we have to see souls won for Christ and not ourselves. GOD BLESS! Tim
