Connecting for Glocal Transformation

In Sapa in the Clouds

Chris Seiple did a great job at the Religion and Rule of Law Conference in Hanoi.  It was a success and a lot of relationships were built.  It’s amazing how, when people are honest about their differences and yet they come together in respect for one another,  they can make a big difference.  I continue to see things move forward in Vietnam and am very grateful for that.

I spent an entire day with Malcolm Morris of Stewart Title introducing him to business leaders and Government Leaders.  I hope that they can do some business here—we’ll see.  He was excited about what he saw but needs to do more study.  My dream one day is to bring about 10 key business leaders together for a trip, have them speak at the University and meet with key leaders.  I had a delegate tell me you could describe Vietnam with 3 words “Open for business.”  It’s true.

In Sapa now, we went over the projects of Glocal Ventures and explained what we are doing and how we are doing it.  We’ve come a long, long way in the past year.  From 1 staff stateside to one stateside and 2 here—probably more to come.  We now have an office here and a couple of houses we lease along with more projects and people getting on board.  I want to be so much farther down the road than we are, yet, when I realize where we are and where we’ve come from I get pumped.

Just kickin’ back today and chillin’!

I hope you are having fun. Remember, the rice terrace walls up in Sapa were not made for strong american men like us!

I just got to thinking, if those walls are made to stand up against water buffalo, how did it falter under a chubby 16 year old?
