I just spent the past 30 minutes visiting with my wife, daughter, and the team from here that are way up in the mountains of north Vietnam doing water purification and health and hygiene training. It was so cool to be able to see them and visit with them.  The computer wound up being passed around so everyone could see all over the place - so I was speaking my Vietnamese greeting to Vietnamese who were fascinated by the whole SKYPE thing. 

Nikki’s doing good and all the team for all of those interested.  I saw one of our elders - Jerry Smith - all stretched out in the lobby of a hotel with them doing a very special foot massage on him!!!!  Tim - of GVI - was hilarious - his english sounds so much like Ti’s - the Vietnamese exchange student that lived with us. 

There’s something about seeing someone.  First, the phone - then email - now skype- and soon telepresence for everyone. 
I stand by my statement - in 10 years - it will be impossible for people to be in a place where they can’t hear about who Jesus is and what he did.  Neither will it be possible for Jesus followers to be so connected yet so disengaged from the rest of the world. 

Either we will serve others in the love and name of Jesus - or we will loose our credibility because we have our great ministries, great speakers, great . . . . but little compassion and engagement for the rest of the world.
