Chris Seiple Goes Before Congress

Chris Seiple testified before congress last Thursday. Pray that the Lord will work in the hearts of our political leaders as they make decisions that will impact the nation we have been called to serve. Chris is founder of the Institute for Global Engagement and partners with us in Vietnam.  He recently spoke in our services.

This is another example of the impact our faithful engagement is having on Vietnam, and it provides some indication that we are making progress toward transformation.

Here is a copy of the testimony he gave last Thursday.

    Bob, recently there was a Pastor from Vietnam that came to the states to be interviewed by Voice of the Martyrs. He also spoke at our church because he has a friend that is working amongst his people in our area. Upon returning home he sent me a letter asking for monthly financial support. I was not able to promise him any kind of help in that manner. I did tell him about the work that Northwood has been doing for many years and it might be beneficial for him to try and connect with your work there. Is there anything else our church could do to help them? Are there projects that we could engage in with you without going on a trip to Vietnam?

    Are you kidding? There are major things you can do - our NGO Glocal Ventures is working with the government, engaging society -and now through the government are connected to churches and communities. The problem is that most Americans don't understand how to engage - call NorthWood and ask for Dennis Jeffares. Partner with us!!!!!
