Around the World in 13 Days!

This morning in my personal worship time I was reading out of the book of Job in the Bible.  One thing really stuck out to me - Job’s confidence in his personal walk with God.  Though he didn’t understand why he was going through what he was - he knew that he was right with God.  The 3 friends kept telling him that it must had been something he’d done to brought this on himself.  Yet, there wasn’t, and it was incredible in chapter 31 how he was confident in his holiness - he knew he’d walked with God.  I wrote in my journal reflecting on that - Satan could attack him - but he wouldn’t accuse him.  Satan could hurl everything he had to hurl at him, yet he couldn’t make him feel guilt, shame, or anything else that wasn’t true.  Wow, now that’s confidence in your walk with God.  That should be all our goal.

I’ve been in Vail Colorado the past 3 days with a group of 40 people who are working with Christian-Muslim relations from around the world.  It was an awesome meeting.  I met some really incredible people and we talked about ways we can bring hope and healing.  God is up to something in this regard I know.

I leave in a few hours for the Middle-East to a couple of places, then on to Hanoi where I’ll connect up with a NorthWood team.  I’ll blog as I can.  It won’t be easy - so primarily when I leave a place, is when I’ll probably blog.  Keep me in mind - there are some great opportunities to share and express God’s love but lots of obstacles that must be overcome along the way.
